2026 Hyundai Sonata Trims and Pricing

For 2026, Hyundai simplified the Sonata lineup to three trims: SE, SEL Sport and N Line. The new SEL Sport replaces last year's SEL and SEL Convenience, and it is the only trim offered with all-wheel drive.

• SE: The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Lane Following Assist, Safe Exit Warning and 16-inch alloy wheels.
• SEL Sport: Adds heated front seats, an 8-way power driver's seat, dual automatic climate control, a wireless device charger, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, paddle shifters and 18-inch alloy wheels. Available with HTRAC all-wheel drive.
• N Line: The performance trim, with the turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder. It adds a panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, Bose premium audio with 12 speakers, Highway Driving Assist, N sport front seats with microfiber inserts and 19-inch N alloy wheels.

Engine and Performance

The 2026 Hyundai Sonata offers two gas engines. The SE and SEL Sport use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The N Line steps up to a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission and paddle shifters.

The standard engine is the efficiency pick, with EPA-estimated ratings of 28 mpg city, 38 highway and 32 combined in the SE, and 25 city, 36 highway and 29 combined in the front-wheel-drive SEL Sport. For drivers who want more punch, the N Line's turbo is a strong fit for Colorado Springs, since turbocharged engines typically lose less power at our 6,000-foot elevation than non-turbo engines.

Front-wheel drive is standard on the 2026 Hyundai Sonata, and the SEL Sport is available with HTRAC all-wheel drive, the only Sonata trim to offer it. The 2026 Hyundai Sonata seats five, with a 60/40 split-folding rear seat and 15.6 cubic feet of trunk space. The SE comes with cloth seats, and the SEL Sport adds heated front seats, an 8-way power driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual automatic climate control and a center rear armrest with cup holders.
